Sewing School

The first program that was started last year was the sewing school.  The Alabama Honduran Mission aggressively sought used sewing machines and other materials to help get the school going.  The school is now in operation and the goal is to teach adult females in the area a viable trade.

We need new and used sewing machine, materials, and instructors (for one week at a time). Also, thread, needles, tape measures, patterns, scissors, etc.

The school can be kept open for $200 a month. There are two classes of 20 students each.  The age ranges from 18 to 50 years old.  This school is run by two ladies from the local church.

The sewing school had a fashion show in the beach recently with clothes they made. They donated this first batch to the children of the village.
