AHMEN-SIFAT Task Force sets program for 2010
A team of some 20 folks met at SIFAT to discuss a joint project
in Honduras between SIFAT and AHMEN. We have tentative plans
to hold a week long workshop in Cosuna, Honduras during the summer
of 2010.
What will it be? Have you noticed how good we are at starting “projects” in
Honduras, then some 2 – 5 years later they sort of “fall
by the wayside”? This is one of the things SIFAT has been
studying for some years.
A simplistic explanation of the workshop is to teach empowerment
to various community leaders scattered in the Limon to Mosquita
area.
SIFAT has lots of experience in doing this type of workshop.
AHMEN has lots of projects and ability to identify community/project
leaders.
Seem like a natural fit.
We have about 20 folks interested in being on this AHMEN-SIFAT
Team and are looking for anyone who wants to be part of this
exciting new project. As Benny Rowe and Brent Brady say, this
has the potential to be the most far reaching endeavor we have
ever participated in.
We are hoping to have one representative from each of AHMEN
teams and AHMEN projects on this project. Also, Limon Ade, CHIMES,
Garifina Library Project and Cruzado are looking to be a part
of this.
