Mark and hold this date:  Oct. 24, 2009
To: AHMEN Team Leadership
Each year, for the past 3 – 4 years, we have all gotten together to share ideas and information and planning for the upcoming year of our work in Honduras.
This year we will be holding the Annual AHMEN Leadership Meeting in Lineville, Al on Oct. 24 from 9 until 3 p.m.
Lineville is about 1 and ½ hrs. south of B’ham. We will be at the SIFAT headquarters. Lunch will be served for about $5 or $6 person. There is no charge for the use of the facilities.
Anyone who wants to came come the nite before and stay at their dormitories for a nominal fee. I know at least 10 people who are considering this.
We would like to have at least two people from each team and/or project. We are asking for a 10 – 15 min presentation from each team and project. This will be followed by plenty of time for discussion, networking, and questions. IF you will not be able to come or send someone, please let me know.
Power points are welcome. Be sure and bring something with your contact numbers, e-mail etc. so folks can follow up with you.
This meeting is open to anyone with an interest in Honduras, AHMEN, or our work there.
We welcome all team members and support persons.
Please let me know the number of folks coming so we can make appropriate preparations.
Please pass this to all of your team/project members.  they are all welcome.
See you either the 23 or 24th of OCT (NOT SEPT)

Cruzada Del Evangelico has multiple areas needing teams in 2010: an Invitation

I would like by this means to invite the ALABAMA HONDURAS MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL NETWORK to coordinate several visiting medical teams next year to work with us.  We would like some teams to work at the clinic at Limon, also at La Union, Olancho, at Oak Ridge, Roatan,  at Yorito, Yoro and at La Ceiba and surrounding villages.

We know there are lots of poor people with lots of medical needs in these areas and the medical teams will be able to meet a lot of these needs.  We appreciate all the AHMEN teams for so many in Honduras.

God bless,

Sandy Palencia

Please pick your area and date and get in touch with Sandy:  cruzadas.sandy@gmail.com

She is the person who schedules the teams, their dates and their locations for Cruzada

The annual meeting on Saturday is open to anyone who is interested in AHMEN and in our work in Honduras. This will be a time for team reports, planning and project reports. In addition there will be some time for you to witness and explore the working of SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology). The annual meeting is a time of fellowship and is always informative. The over-riding theme for this year’s meeting will be to focus on the advantages of both individual and team memberships in AHMEN. This year’s meeting will also include announcements of several important changes in the organization’s governance and structure. It is very important that every team is represented.

We need to have an accurate count on who will be in attendance so that SIFAT can be prepared. The table below shows those persons who have already indicated that they will be in attendance. Please look over this list and send any corrections and/or additions to hjguffey@earthlink.net ASAP.

Thanks. guf
