2008 Leadership
Meeting at Birmingham Southern College
by Ray Crump
Yesterday we had a great meeting in Birmingham. Sister Eleanor and four
others came from Honduras. There were people from Florida, and CA who spoke.
I talked with Tom Camp the night before because I need to know how many
copies of a handout I needed to print and bring. I asked him how many he
expected with the snow. Birmingham was supposed to get two inches. The
line of snow was to be from Cullman south. He said about sixty had expressed
an interest, but he only expected around thirty. Sixty plus showed up.
We ran out of chair, had to bring in more until there was NO space to put
another chair or table. Standing room only was available. what a good problem
to have!
The content of the programs were great. GOD is blessing this movement.
New resources were presented and offered to be members of any team they
could join. One of the speakers was Rev. Carl Dickerson, of Cantonment,
FL who offered to give enough books to set up a library in any school in
a third world country that needed books. You may want to visit: http://www.giveabookfoundation.com/
With the Edwin Hodges Ministries and all the free literature here in Decatur,
we might want to look at how we can help both ministries. This would give
all our teams two sources for free books. Ladies what do you think? IS
this worth pursuing? Check it out and let me know what you think.
