NOTE: Shawn Terrell took his Mom and Dad to Honduras for Christmas to see some of what he and his team does there. While there his mom, Susan Terrell, got to know some of the girls in La Haven in La Ceiba at Sister Eleanor's compound. She has sent us these biographical sketches of two girls who are in need of sponsorship. GLADYS JACKELINE SANCHEZ (D.O.B. -August 30, 1992)

Gladys is a “beautiful” thirteen-year-old young lady who comes from a very large family of nine brothers and sisters, ranging from the ages of 6-14. She is in the ninth grade; her favorite subject in school is Spanish; and she hopes to become a teacher one day. Gladys loves football, Salsa music, fried chicken, the color red, and dogs are her favorite animals. Gladys shared that she has absolutely no fears! When asked what her three wishes in life were, she replied, “I would like to have money to help my family; to travel to the United States, and to be able to go on a cruise ship to Canada, one day. In closing, she compassionately stated, “Jesus is very, very special to me!


ALBA FLORIDA MEJIA (D.O.B. -November 15, 1993)

Alba is “gorgeous” fourteen-year-old young lady who has five brothers and sisters, ranging from the ages of 14-19. She is in the eighth grade in school; her favorite subject is Spanish, and she wants to grow up to be a teacher. She loves the color blue, to listen to Christian music, to eat shrimp, to read Bible stories, and her favorite animals are rabbits. Alba also expressed a fear of snakes! When asked what her three wishes in life were, she replied, “I want to grow up to become a professional; to have a house of my very own, and to have my mom back once again. In closing, she emphatically stated, “Jesus signifies something very powerful to me!”

 

JENNY XIOMARA MEDRANO

After Graduation from High School, most of the girls want to go on to University studies:
Nursing, Computer Science, Office Mangagers.
