| Lee Ann and Mike in La Ceiba, Feburary 2008
Mike and Lee Ann had an interesting time on their recent trip
to La Ceiba to work on the Girl’s Dorm at Cruzado’s
Mission compound. They gave the dinning room a much needed paint
job. Then corrected the lightening with florescent bulbs. Anna
Capron expressed her concern that the girl’s don’t
have enough food to eat. Mike and Lee Ann stocked the kitchen
and the freezer, in addition to taking them all for a “Pizza
party”.
Some of the highlights from their trip:
1. Be sure your passport is correct. They spent two days in
Houston replacing “water stains” to theirs.
2. When you go to the Girl’s dorm be sure and ask for
Jenny for your interpreter. Lee Ann thinks she is ready for teamwork
as an interpreter.
3. Don’t miss Maribella’s pictures. La Haven has
their own “resident artist”. She is a little shy,
so you might have to ask twice to see the pictures.
4. Be sure and visit the girls. They enjoy the contact with
the mission teams. Lee Ann, Anna, and Shelia have made comments
about this. The girls are shy, but love the interaction with
you.
5. Mike also got the measurements for The Resting Place – Retreat
Center. You will be hearing more about this from Benny Rowe in
the coming weeks.
Don’t forget, there are several girls that need sponsors,
so if you or your Sunday School Class are looking for a very
worthwhile project, get in touch with Sandy re. the ones who
do.
