Please remind anyone within your team who may be interested that the AHMEN Eye-Care Training/Practice session is this Saturday, April 26, at the Methodist Center on the campus of Birmingham Southern. The session will begin at 9:00 AM and should not go beyond 3:00 PM. McAlister’s will cater a light lunch. The cost of your meal is the only charge for the training.
The agenda remains fluid at this time, but the overall objective is to promote a consistent approach to eye-care examinations and record keeping. This will greatly aid in our efforts to secure donated equipment and funding. After some preliminary information about the importance of an expanded eye-care ministry, the morning will focus on the different options that exist for us to determine the best near and far vision eye glass prescription. This time will deal heavily with issues of sphere, cylinder, axis rotations and computed equivalents. In the afternoon we will go over the sequential steps of the eye-exam.
There are no prerequisite requirements for this training. Everyone is welcome. The format will be one of sharing our interest and learning from one another.
