Medical Mission to Honduras: HONDURIANS
NEED YOU
Doctors/Nurse
Practioners/Physicains Assistants/Dentist/Nurses/Resp Therapist
Have you ever wondered what it was like in the “old days” with no
insurance companies, no administrators, no worry about if the patient can afford
the prescription you write, getting a big fat smile and a “Thank you” at
the end of the exam????
Why not take a trip to Honduras with a medical team.
Is it safe? We have been going with 5 – 10 teams/year for 10 years with
no problems. You will be affiliating with a Christian organization that has been
in Honduras for over 20 years.
What about the “weird” diseases there? They have the same problems
we do. For the occasional “weird” problem, you will have someone
from the area working with you to help with them.
Will you be by yourself? No, you will be part of a team that works together,
stays together, eats together, and fellowships together. In addition, there is
a hospital near by with all the support you would have here in the USAWill
you have fun? Absolutely. Usually medical personnel that go on
these missions always want
to go back, both for the help
they offer to folks who otherwise would not receive it or for
the feeling of just “doing what we are trained to do.”
To
get an idea of the work you would be doing, take a look at www.honduranmissions.com.
What
type of medical personnel is needed? All types. The access to
medical/dental care in the villages you will be treating is
severely limited, so you are needed. Besides, if God sends you
down, you can bet it is for a reason.
Give it some thought, pray
about it, and let get in touch with one of us.
If you have specific
medical questions, call me at 205-384-8023 or e-mail me at llamacamp@hughes.net.
Or, contact the local team leader.
