Camp July 07 Trip Your Eye Team
examined 166 patients for eye diseases and abnormalities and
distributed 141 reading glasses performing both pre- and
post- near vision acuity tests.
The breakdown per community may
be off because I do not know for sure exactly where the people
from outlying communities were
treated, so they were randomly assigned to Tocamacho, Ciriboya,
and/or Pueblo Nuevo. Does the following sound about right?
Ciriboya:
11 patients examined, 10 pair of reading glasses distributed
Tocamacho:
78 patients examined, 62 pair of reading glasses distributed
Pueblo
Nueva: 77 patients examined, 69 pair of reading glasses distributed
In
addition, eye care hand-outs were distributed and approximately
750 pair of children's and adults' sunglasses were either distributed
or left with Dr. Luther Harry Castillo to use in connection
with a health promotion campaign he has planned.
