Also, we have invited three of the midwives and Gloria (the Honduras Birthing Project Director) to our National Training confeence in San Diego, Ca October 18-21. As you know,the cost for each woman is about $1200. If you would like to contribute to their tax deductible scholarship fund, please contact me for details. We are all so excited about this opportunity for them to come to our side of the world.

During our last visit, the midwives formed the Colon Midwives Association...with a membership of 86 midwives. So our tasks for the next year is to support them in identifying and accessing their training needs; designing an appropriate evaluation tool; incorporating them into the medical teams and connecting them to their peers globally.
