Guf and Mary Guffey are the coordinators for the new expanded eye program in Honduras. The program started with Rev. Robert Mount some 6 years ago. It has continued to grow and expand. The "expanded" eye care program has had its share of mishaps this season, but I think that the kinks can be worked out. I also am convinced that the potential benefits are worth the effort. I just hope that you guys, and all
the team leaders/members don't get frustrated with us and give up on the program. Brad wrote us a very inspiring email recently regarding an unrelated matter. In it he observed that when God's people endeavor to do
good, often this is when the Devil tries to disrupt the efforts by setting obstacles in our way. And often the size of the obstacles is in proportion to the potential good that might come from the work. Someday I hope we'll
all look back upon the disruptions and difficulties that have befallen the eye program and know both the truth of this observation and the joys of those who persist. Pray for us all.
